Biography: Dr. Janet Kinnear Kern is a neuroscientist and researcher who has conducted clinical research in children and adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other neurodevelopmental disorders, such as tic disorder, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and developmental delay, for the last 20 years. She has over 70 peer-reviewed scientific research publications and is a member of the American College of Epidemiology. The main focus of her research is in biomarkers of susceptibility, oxidative stress, neurodegeneration, neuroinflammation, toxicity, risk factors in ASD, and brain changes related to mercury in neurodevelopmental disorders.
