Dr. Singh is currently working as Staff Scientist at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine (SIU SOM), USA. After earning his PhD in Biotechnology, he got awarded with ICMR-Centenary Postdoctoral Fellowship to pursue postdoctoral research work (2 years) at National Institute for Research in Reproductive Health, Mumbai, India. Later on, he joined as postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Pharmacology at SIU SOM in 2017 to pursue his research interest in the auditory field. His current research interests include cochlear hair cell survival and regeneration, cochlear synaptopathy, spiral ganglion neuron survival and degeneration using genetically modified mouse models of hearing research. Additionally, he is currently working in age related vestibular deficit and screening of compounds for otoprotection and/or regeneration of cochlear hair cells after aminoglycoside induced damage in mouse cochlear explants model.
